Magic Color Slider Card MEETS Shaker Card! Posted on 9 Aug 23:11 , 117 comments

I love both magic color slider cards and shaker cards, so I wanted to bring the two together for one awesome card. This fall inspired card uses Melody Lane Designs Holly Digital paper and Maymay Made It's  “Memory Lane” Stamp set. This would make a great fall birthday card for the man in your life. The card basics to cut are listed below. You can see how to make this card in my youtube video. However, while putting this one together, there were some mistakes. I decided to leave them in, both to show we all make mistakes – but more importantly how to correct those mistakes. If you make this card be sure and share it on the Melody Lane Digital facebook page.

Cut from Holly Digital Paper:

            Card Base 7”x10”

            Card Front 5”x7”

            Inside Mat 4 ¾”x6 ¾ ”

Pocket Card by Georgia Carl Posted on 22 Mar 10:01 , 102 comments

I wanted to create a card that had a pocket for either a message or gift card. My original design was for Christmas, but for this example I made one for a birthday or other special occasion using Melody’s Digital paper. This project actually used 3 different paper sets: Madison, Fairy and Becky! I love trying to come up with new designs and using this paper was a breeze! Even though I used 3 different designs, the colors all went together! You can change this card up to fit any occasion! Enjoy and let us see what you create. I have included my design space file, as well as dimensions for cutting it out with a paper trimmer.

Pocket Card   https://us.cricut.com/design/#/canvas/56576034

Card Dimensions and supplies:
Base: 5x10 inches, scored at 5 inches
Layer (cut 2, one for front and one inside): 4.75 inch square

                        1.25x1.75 piece for sentiment
Top layer (best with a 2 sided paper): 4.5 inch square, scored diagonally

Pop Up Slider Card for Valentine's Day by Georgia Carl Posted on 31 Jan 09:49 , 42 comments

I found this cute pop up slider card design on youtube by Jan Brown. I wanted to re-create it in design space. So here is the finished project. I used Melody Lane’s Zoey Digital Paper and her SVG: Life is too short to be anything but Sexy! Remember to use the code GEORGIA40X to get 40% off your entire order at Melody Lane Designs! For my stamping I used Maymay Made It "Love Is" Stamp set. I used the chomas engraving tip to “write” the svg on my heart, then colored in to make it pop. This card is quick to put together, under 15 minutes! You can change it up for any season or holiday! In my cut file I included 3 different toppers, hearts, ovals and a rectangle. You could easily put your own creation on the front!

You can see how to put the card together here!

Let it Snow Christmas Card! by Georgia Carl Posted on 27 Nov 14:31 , 113 comments

Playing in my craft room today, I finished an order of cards I had and decided to just play. I made this tattered lace inspired card. The light blue snowy background paper is from  Chloe Digital Paper. To make the snowman I used a Tattered Lace Christmas Cuties Snowman Die and cut several out of different papers to create his layers. My matting and layers were made using a set of shaped dies I have (do not know brand as I have them on a magnetic board and didn't think to mark the brand). On the inside of the card I used a stamp from Maymay Made It that says There's Snow One Like You.

You can use the Chloe Digital paper for many Christmas cards.

Cricut Card Using Printed Vellum By Ian the Off Kilter Crafter Posted on 26 Oct 21:45 , 10 comments

Have I told you lately how much I love Cricut? Between my Cricut Explore Air and my Cricut Access subscription in Cricut Design Space, I am unstoppable! Well, maybe not unstoppable, but there is a lot I can do with them. This project uses a free card from Cricut Design Space that you can download and cut out if you are a Cricut Access member. I used the Elvira Digital Paper Set from Melody Lane (which you can check out by clicking here!) and printed it on vellum. This purple background contrast so well with the orange of the cardstock. It will also give your recipient a surprise when they go to open the card only to realize that it is translucent. I hope this gives you some inspiration for your last minute Halloween cards!

Don't forget you can always check out my other creations over on my Youtube channel.

Double Dutch Fold Card by Georgia using Grace Digital Paper Posted on 17 Oct 07:52 , 19 comments

My inspiration for this Double Dutch Fold Card was by FaithfuleCreations on youtube. I needed a card for a baby shower and this one was perfect. I also added a pop-up element on the inside. Melody Lane's "Grace" Digital Paper gave all the colors in one page that I wanted for my background pieces, pink, yellow, purple and hints of blues. If you don't have a Cricut, just watch FaithfuleCreations video and you will be making it in no time. Remember to use the code GEORGIA40X to receive 40% off "Grace" digital paper AND your entire purchase from Melody Lane Designs Digital Paper!

You can use my Cricut File to create a card for any occasion. Come join me on Youtube and I will show you how to assemble this card!

Twist Turn Pop Up Card by Georgia! Posted on 14 Sep 07:35 , 41 comments

So, I found another unique fold card to share with you! My inspiration was Holly Young on Youtube. I watched others after hers, but hers was the first! I fell in love with it, so I went to trusty Cricut Design Space and created a file for it. But my "twist" on the card, was to make it a pop-up card! Using Melody Lane's "Lola" Digital Paper was a natural. The piece I used seemed to have movement which went well with the stamp set I was using. And the colors spoke fall to me. If you don't have a Cricut, just watch Holly's video and you will be making it in no time. Remember to use the code GEORGIA40X to receive 40% off "Lola" digital paper AND your entire purchase from Melody Lane Designs Digital Paper!

You can use my Cricut File and the possibilities are endless! I used Art Impressions Stamps to complete my card, but you could do diecuts from Cricut, stamps, stickers or whatever your imagination dreams up! Come join me on Youtube and I will show you how to assemble this card!
