Projects with Digital Paper

Starting to Think About Halloween | Elvira Digital Paper Set | CAC Hashtag Event Posted on 19 Aug 04:00 , 20 comments

I know its early to be thinking about Halloween, but then again is it really ever too early to being thinking about Halloween? Never! I am a huge fan of Halloween and everything that goes along with it. From the chill in the evening air, to the spooks and surprises that lurk around every corner. To me it is just one of the most magical times of the year. The card that I have for you today is a warm up card for this Halloween season. Using some Tim Holtz products I found at Michaels and the Elvira Digital Paper Set from Melody Lane, I came up with this fun and maybe not so spooky card. I also love getting to work with vellum and give this card just a small little something to make it really pop. You can check out how I made this card by visiting the youtube video by clicking here.

This video is also apart of the CAC or Creative Arts Collaboration. Make sure to head over to Youtube and type in the hashtag #LoveAutumnArt to see all the amazing works of art from all kinds of artist.

Introduction and Globe Card using Carmen Digital Paper Posted on 15 Jul 04:01 , 5 comments

Hello everyone! My name is Ian Garland and I am best known as the Off Kilter Crafter Ian on Youtube. This is my very first blog post here on Melody Lane Designs and I could not be happier to join the Design Team for Melody Lane.  I hope to get to know everyone better as we start on this wonderful journey and have fun along the way. For those who would like to get to know me a little better, I am currently 30 years old. I live in the Dallas/Fort Worth area in Texas. Yes, I am a Texan though and though,  but I won't hold it agents you if you are not. ;-) I have not been crafting for too long, only about 2 or 3 years at this point, but I love to do it in my free time. I work a lot and my full time job keeps me very busy, but I always find time to craft and present a new craft on my Youtube channel every Friday. I hope you will subscribe to my Youtube channel and check out my other videos that I have available for you.

Now, on to the project that I designed. I used the Carmen Digital Paper Set to create this really great background for the Sizzix and Tim Holtz globe foreground. I love that this Sizzix and Tim Holtz kit comes with dies, stamps, and an embossing folder. You can use all of these items to create many different cards or even scrapbook pages in so many different ways. Check out this video of me putting together. https://youtu.be/jXEQwivpWfQ
